Session work

I am primarily a session player working in the Studio, on tour, in shows, dep. work, and function gigs.

I am currently gigging, recording and writing material with Major Dudes, a band based in Salford, Manchester. The core group consists of myself on Bass and various other instruments with:

Tim Allen - Vocals
Chris Morris - Keyboards & Vocoder
John "Johnny Two Shoes" Curren - Kit

We also use a number of session players for live and studio dates including drummers, percussionists, horn players, vocalists etc.

The band plays a fusion of Pop, Jazz, Funk and Soul. We regularly gig in the north-west. and is currently working on a follow up to 2007's Minor World album. Please contact me for any more information or to book us.

Film Score / Radio-Drama Soundtrack

In 2007 I am due to begin work on a film score with Ben Dixon for an amature crime film as well as doing the soundtrack (score, songs and sound effects) for a Horror Radio-Drama

Another band that I am involved with is a jazz/funk trio playing standards, popular covers and original material. The band plays in restraunts and bars around the north west as well as private functions.

Composition

As well as composing for "Major Dudes" and "Dig This!?", and many other band/solo projects, I compose music for teaching material, film scores, jingles and computer games. I also offer my sevices as an arranger, often working on an entire project or arranging for horns or strings

Alongside my career I am studying towards a degree in Popular Music (BA) at Salford University. I am in my final year specialising in Composition and Performance.
